Really fine Indian Buffet. Recipes are spicy without being too hot or bitter. There is a good selection of vegetable dishes and meat. The spinach dish is the best I have tried. Naan is wonderful and made fresh during the lunch buffet period. I actually prefer the buffet where I can sample small servings of many items to ordering one or two larger servings on the menu, although the menu has more choices.
Go there all the time, it always smells delicious, and the staff and owner are always smiling.
We visited it on recommendation and were happy we did! Food was perfectly cooked and dinner portions were great! We will be back for sure. The waiter we had was helpful to point out his favorites and explain some of the dishes to us. Try the tea , its delicious!
It's a great restaurant. The buffet is just $7. Wonderful taste (homely). The decor looks awesome. If you haven't tried it yet, geaux try!!
Y'all. If I could give this place ten stars I would. The flavors are amazing in every dish we tried (and it was a few). The Gulab Jamun dessert was so good we took a second order home to share. We had the non vegetarian sample meal and the balti lamb. Pictures are of those after we had already torn into them.
My husband and I wanted to try something different and have always wanted to try Indian food, I've never had goat and absolutely loved it.. he ordered his a little more spicy then the original way it's served and it was perfect.. the lamb and curry was equally as good.. we will be returning to try other dishes from the menu.. the service was great and the cook was amazing... Please give this place a try you will love it...
Limited selection but amazing food! Prompt and friendly service; can't wait for my next visit!
This company closed 4 days ago and without notice would not accept my Groupon as it was under new management. Since I had not taken my food, I tried to leave and get a Groupon refund. The manager blocked me from leaving. I paid for my food - which in itself was beyond disappointing as you can see from the pictures. The dry chicken was $16. Waste of money. The WORST customer service. Will not return.
Buffet=expensive bad idea. Driest meats ever, good sauces but excessively oily. Naan seemed recycled from night before. Pros: tofu curry. Cons: rubber shrimp, greasy limp onion rings, tandoor chicken dry enough to use as tinder. Saw sizzling plates of lamb chops come from kitchen. THAT is probably where any good review originates.
Totally authentic! Totally delicious! And the price is right! I love this place! Every time I go to Baton Rouge I eat here. Sometimes twice or three times in a two day visit. I love East Indian food and this is the best restaurant for it in all of Baton Rouge. The service is fantastic and very friendly people. You know it's good when other East Indians eat here.
Really good indian cuisine:) Very friendly staff with owner a great chef.
Service is very good as is the food. It's a little disappointing that the thalis are not available all the time. They're an excellent way for a single eater to have a balanced meal (protein *and* veg) without over-ordering. (And they're quite delicious!)I mean look at the photo? Would you rather have a single entree or this when eating by yourself with nobody to share with?
The food here is fabulous. The owner cares about the quality of the food and his customers. The food is always fresh and seasoned properly. If you want to sample a variety of dishes, then give the buffet a try. Plenty of vegetarian dishes and meat dishes on the buffet to suit all. I love the goat, it's delicious. I could eat my weight in naan. Lol By far the best India cuisine around. The very highest recommendation!!!
Food was quite pleasant and service was decent as well, not many choices but not absolutely a necessity to be a good restaurant. Downsides would be decor and table set up were very basic and rather boring plus there were not many labels as to what exactly the food was only a TV in the back ocassionally flashing what each food was named.
Always fresh delicious food, a real treat each visit. My top Indian restaurant in Baton Rouge.
Fantastic food! Excellent flavors with a slight kick! Never disappoints.
The owner loves his restaurant and it's a treat to dine there....I discovered Al Noor about a month ago and I've had a hard time enjoying my old go-to lunch spots since. If you've never tried Indian before this is a great place to start. There is always a big variety. I haven't gotten the owners name yet be he and his daughter, I presume, are super nice and friendly. I love to support this local, diverse dining option! I'm sure you would too.
Starting over with my life...this was a really new, great, experience for myself💋💎 Thanksgiving dinner with my other half!! Enjoyed the food, service, atmosphere, & got to check out a different side of life!! The diversities of different cultures is always an adventure for myself!!✨✨✨
Extremely poor management...they don't know how to behave with customers...too much hot environment inside the restaurant probably they save money by turning off their air conditioning system...
